The Sweet Scent of Summer
The sweet scent of summer is definitely here and the longer days are such a treat - giving us all extra time to enjoy gathering outdoors. For me, it is also the time when changing my bed linen becomes a priority, moving from our soft & silky Heritage Collection to our lighter Island range. The Island Collection is probably my favourite one to actually sleep in, perhaps because it is a sign that summer is here. But if there is a single product that sits at the heart of our brand, it is the Island.
The less known and more affordable ‘little brother’ to our Heritage collection, Island represents exactly what London & Avalon was built on – tradition. The Egyptian Cotton is matt, subtle, delicate and is the one which reminds me the most of holidays at my grandmother’s house. It represents comfort - it is truly light as a feather and incredibly soft to the skin - and is wrapped in understated elegance.
As it ages, it simply becomes irresistible, gaining a subtle patina and feeling like it has always been part of your life.
