Both our percale and sateen fabrics are made from the highest quality cotton yarns. They are chosen for their strength and their length to ensure softness and longevity. Our percale Island collection is made from 100% Egyptian Cotton, and our sateen is from 100% Pima cotton. 

• Percale: Cool & crisp, matte and lightweight; excellent for hot sleepers.
• Sateen: Silky, buttery smooth, and slightly warmer. Great for colder seasons.

 Unfortunately thread count is often mis-calculated by companies vying for your attention (and money). Thread count is measured by how many single individual fibers there are in a square inch. For great quality bed linen, each fiber should be individual, strong and long, and the maximum you can actually get for cotton is 300.

Often high thread count cottons are calculated by using shorter threads tied together, or by using multi ply threads. 

‘Long staple’, ‘Egyptian Cotton’, ‘Pima Cotton, ‘Giza’ are all labels you should look for when choosing bed linen.

Mattresses vary in depth. Measure your mattress (including any toppers) before buying. Most companies offer standard fitted sheets of approx. 25-30cm. We make ours at 40cm as standard – this ensures it will cover the deepest of mattresses. We also make our sheets with super strong elastic ALL the way around the hem, ensuring the sheet is pulled tight under the mattress from all directions. If you need a deeper sheet, we can make it, no problem!

We work with a handful of mills in Portugal, Italy and the UK – all chosen for their expertise in their fields. Often family owned, with generations working together and passing their skills on. We are a small company, so it is imperative we work closely with our partners to create the superior products you buy from us.

Over the past twenty years we have worked with our specialist mills to refine a collection of bed linen designed not around trends, but around feel, longevity and craftsmanship. We won’t overwhelm you with a million different designs, we will only produce fabric that feels amazing against your skin, in a handful of understatedly elegant designs. Trends come and go, our bed linen lasts for years.

Of course. We believe you need to be happy with the touch and feel of the fabric before you purchase our linens, so we have made it easy for you to order a sample pack from our website, and we are always here to help and answer any questions you may have.

Yes, we have a range of coloured threads available and a number of fonts to choose from which we can add to your bed and bath linen. We also offer an embroidery service where we can digitise an image of logo you provide and embroider it on your items.

Yes, we can add a corded bourdon stripe to your towels to match the grosgrain trim of your bed linen.

We will only ever choose the very best cotton to make our bed and bath linen. We make ZERO Twist towels – which means that the cotton is so superior there is no twisting of fibers involved. Many manufacturers need to twist the cotton together to make it stronger and longer lasting. We choose a weight of 600 GSM (Grams per square metre). This ensures the perfect weight and fluffiness – any heavier and you risk a very heavy wet towel which can be a pain to launder in numbers.

We’re often told people can tell which is our bed linen in their laundry cupboards because ours stays so white. We have carefully chosen the cotton, and the weaving and finishing process, to ensure the very best results. We independently test all of our fabrics with laundry engineers and set extremely high standards for whiteness, brightness, thread count, Tencel strength, weight and shrinkage. If it does not pass the test, it does not get used.
